Many people spend the days of their lives miserably without hope paying for the sins they committed in the past Some people live their entire lives in grief tormented by guilt not able to forgive themselves or forget the shame of their acts. Some people unable to escape the guilt and the shame of their action end their lives.There are many who turn to drugs and alcohol as a way of escape. But this only make their lives more miserable to themselves and others.

                         The Bible says there is hope for a sinner.There is one who has authority to forgive people of their sins and trespasses..He is Jesus Christ,the Son of God-the Savior of the world.He came to the world to save sinners.An Angel told his father Joseph before his birth.”You shall call his name Jesus for he will save his from their sins.” Mathew;1:21The name Jesus means Savior.He said,”I did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”Mathew;9:13

Lord Jesus told the parable of the good shepherd .”A man had a hundred sheep.One was missing and he left  the ninety nine in the wilderness and went looking for that lost sheep.A sinner is the lost sheep and Jesus Christ is the Good shepherd in the story.He said,”The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."Luke;19:10.While Jesus was on earth he forgave people of their sins and healed them.One day a group of people brought a woman who was caught in the act of adultery and asked his permission to stone her to death.But he forgave her sin and let her go saying “sin no more” Another time people brought to him a paralytic who could not walk.When Jesus forgave his sins that man got up and walked.He called some who confessed they were sinners and made them his disciples and he changed their lives forever.A hardened criminal who was dying on the cross for his crimes got a chance to confess to Jesus at the last moment of his life and he got saved and went to be with Jesus in Paradise.Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the whole mankind. Jesus came as the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.John;1:29 It was an atoning sacrifice for sins he made on the cross .The cross of Jesus Christ is the place where sins are forgiven and one can make peace with God.This is what really took place on the cross of Calvary-“,”He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”Isaiah;53:5,6 The Holy Bible makes it very clear that unless one comes to God through Jesus Christ and receives pardon for sins, his or her sins will not be forgiven.

                                  The Truth That Will Set You Free!

             One day a man saw something floating down the river.He thought it was a bundle of blanket and he jumped into the water and swam toward it and caught it. Soon he found out to be struggling with that thing and he started drowning. Some people cried out from the bank “Leave that thing and swim back .”The poor man replied, ”I left it but it is not leaving me.”It was a live bear and the man soon drowned. This is what sin can do in a person's life.”Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.” John;8:34.Sin may seem to be attractive ,but its deception is deadly."The wages of sin is death."-The Holy Bible says .Man by his own efforts and desire alone cannot break free from the power of sin and its consequences. It is easy to get trapped into sin but it is hard to get out.Jesus Christ said, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John;8:31,32.The whole world is under sin.The Sin takes it toll on mankind. Sin kills. Sin is not cheap. Sin will cost the sinner’s life .Sin brings the wrath of God. Sin brings shame and guilt and condemnation and death and finally it destroys the soul in hell.That is why the whole world needed a Savior. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans; 3:23. Jesus came to save sinners. The Name Jesus means Savior.Jesus said," Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. "John;8:35,36 Here we see a slave a son and a house.A slave has no rights in the house. He just obeys his master.There will come a time when the slave has to leave.But a son belongs to the house and will  remains there forever. He got rights in the house.A slave of sin serves the sin and receives the wages –death. But “If the son sets you free you will be free indeed.” Jesus can bring freedom from the slavery of sin and bring one into the sonship.Free from sin is eternal life.The whole world became guilty and punishable before God.Jesus Christ is the advocate who freely justifies a sinner.”He who believes in him is not condemned.”John;3:19
