"The spirit of a man will sustain him in
sickness, But who can bear a broken spirit?"Proverbs;18:14 If a man
gets sick and even though it is a deadly disease he can endure it but a
broken heart no man can endure-Either himself or others. There are
times when grief overwhelms and no fellow human beings can ease the
pain, some people are are going through.Only God can comfort in
situations like that.God will not reject a perosn who comes to him with
a broken heart because the Bible says, "A broken and contrite heart O
God you will not despise."Psalm;51:1It is God who fashioned human
hearts,He alone can know what a person is going through.Only God can
heal broken hearts The Psalmist says,"He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds."Psalm;147:3 He is the God of peace and
all comfort.God cares for the sparrows and ravens of the field.Not
evern a sparrow falls into the ground without his knowledge.Then how
much more he would think about the man whom he created in his own
image! But people turn to different sources looking for comfort and
peace when they go through difficult situations.Friends may
forsake and loved ones may stand far off.They may evern turn against
blaming and accusing when trouble comes .But God will not turn his face
from a grieving person who turns to him looking for comfort. Lord Jesus
said,"Blessed are those who mourn,because they will be
comforted."Mathew;5:4. It is God’s promise to comfort those who mourn.
If anyone feels like no one understands and no one cares ,God really
does.God is there to comfort those who mourn.Jesus Christ was sent by
God the Father to heal the broken hearts and to comfort those who
mourn.Lord Jesus said,"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because
the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has
sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, .... To comfort all who mourn."
Isaiah;61:1.
Is It Possible To Find Real Peace In This World ?
One
of the richest man in America spent the last days of his life in a
mental institution.He was paranoid,suicidal depressed etc All his
money could not buy the happiness and peace he wanted.Peace and
Comfort are the two things the world lacks the most.All the
people in the world are seeking after these two things more than
anything else, but very hard to find, in this present age.While going
through difficult situations people often look for peace and
comfort,often in wrong places. There are situations when
human comfort is not just enough. There are times when friends and
loved ones may stay away. Those who look around into the world may find
many things that would frighten and disappont them But the .Holy
Bible says,”You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on
You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in God,
the Lord, is everlasting strength.”Isaiah;26;3,4 God’s peace is not
like what the world can offer.It is a peace that the world cannot give
or take away. Peace from God is something that surpasses all
understanding. Only God who created man in His own image, can tell what
a man is going through.He is the One who fashioned human hearts.
Making peace with God is the first step toward godly peace Without
doing so, one cannot have real inner peace.If there is sin and
rebellion against God in a person’s life he or she cannot enjoy the
real peace.This is why the Psalmist prayed like this,”Search me, O God,
and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is
any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm ;139;
23,24. Getting right with God is the only way to find real peace.God
sent Jesus Christ His only Son into the world for this purpose-To
forgive the sins of the people so that they can make peace with God.
The Cross is all about this. Jesus was wounded and punished on the
cross so that we may have peace and healing.”He was wounded for our
transgressions and bruised for our iniquities.The Chastisement for our
peace was upon him and by this stripes we are healed.” Isaiah;53;5 God
laid the iniquities of us all [of the whole world ] on him.”
Isaiah’53;6 The cross of Jesus Christ is the place where one can make
peace with God and healing takes place..
